Lewis
& Clark offers camp experiences for student athletes of all ages in
basketball, volleyball, and soccer each summer. Each camp is led by
NJCAA Division II coaches and athletic assistants. Summer 2007 Camp Schedule Girls Volleyball Players entering 6th through 8th grades will learn basic skills including serving, setting, passing, and hitting. This camp is designed to teach newcomers the basic skills of volleyball and to improve upon existing skills. Proper techniques will be demonstrated and taught by Lewis & Clark volleyball coaches and players. For players entering grades 6, 7 or 8 Mon-Fri June 25-27 10 am-12 pm Godfrey Campus, Riverbend Arena CESP 910 $40 Ronda Roberts, Coach Boys Basketball I This basketball camps for younger players offers a solid foundation in game fundamentals focusing on shooting, passing, and dribbling skills. Teaching takes into account age and skill differences. Various games and contests will be played daily to improve playing skills. For players entering grades 4, 5 or 6 Mon-Wed June 11-15 9 am-12 pm Godfrey Campus, Riverbend Arena CESP 920 $50 Doug Stotler, Coach Boys Basketball II This basketball camp for older players offers a solid foundation in game fundamentals and rules of the game, with a focus and extra time committed to developing shooting and ball handling skills. Various games and contests will be played daily to improve playing skills. Peg Mitchell
...has coached girls' basketball at various levels, from 5th and 6th grades to college level, for almost 20 years. In her seventh year at Lewis & Clark, she has compiled more wins than in the previous 10 years and she earned the honor of Regional Coach Coach of the Year. Coach Tim Rooney ...has been head Men's and Women's Soccer Coach at Lewis & Clark Community College for 21 years. His teams have collectively produced 29 All-Americans and 16 Region 24 Championships. The women's team was NJCAA National Champions in 1999. Coach Doug Stotler ...has been a collegiate coach for more than 20 years and has been head coach at Lewis & Clark Community College for 14 years. He has produced one All-American and countless All-Conference and All-Region players. His team was a National Tournament qualifier in 2004 and 2007. Coach Ronda Roberts ...has coached girls' volleyball and softball at various levels, ranging from 7th and 8th grades to college level, for more than 10 years. |
