SCANS COMPETENCIES: SCANS is an acronym for Secretary's Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills. In 1991, the commission issued their initial report, What Work Requires of Schools. The report outlined the basic literacy, computational skills, and thinking skills necessary to put knowledge to work and the personal qualities that make workers dedicated and trustworthy. There is more detail about this report via a link at the bottom of this page.
To complete this section, merely check all of the basic, thinking, etc., skills that you believe students would employ when completing the exercise you are posting.

Posting the Exercise: (It's the Active Committee's assumption that you already have the exercise in a text file; in which case, you may simply cut and paste the exercise into the text box.)
